Dr. Justin Kwan was born and raised in a small town in northern
Alberta. Dr. Kwan attended the University of Calgary where he obtained
his Bachelor of Natural Sciences degree.

Afterwards he moved to Portland, Oregon to pursue chiropractic at the University of Western States in 2010. In 2013 he graduated from the Doctor of Chiropractic program and accumulated another Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, as well as a Master’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science.

Dr. Kwan’s clinical education in Portland allowed him to gain
practical experience in many different settings ranging from a
low-income multi-disciplinary medical clinic, being part of the athletic
training team at 4 local high schools, and treating a variety of
athletes as medical staff at numerous sporting events including rodeos,
marathons, volleyball tournaments, muay thai camps, and much more.

Carolyn has been working as a physiotherapist for over 26 years. During that time, she has helped countless people recover from injuries and improve their overall health. Carolyn is known for her compassionate nature and her dedication to her patients

Carolyn was born and raised on a family farm outside of Brockville, Ontario. As one of eight siblings, they had many opportunities for outdoor play, sports, and hobbies. She moved to Medicine Hat at the age of twelve, where her love for sports continued. During college, she suffered from a significant ACL injury that led her to meeting with physiotherapy and orthopedic surgeons. Because of this experience, Carolyn moved to Edmonton on a scholarship after graduating from university (University of Alberta) and has decided to remain here ever since!

She has many hours of experience as an athlete, coach and team therapist. She has coached hockey from Initiation to PeeWee level, both for males and females. Carolyn also had the experience of refereeing volleyball games.

Carolyn is a mother with four children and they often go camping, fishing, and skiing together. When they aren’t busy with all that, her family sometimes walk Gimli at Buena Vista Dog Park.

Her passion and commitment is to assess and treat patients. Success comes from teamwork by both the patient and therapist working together, helping the patient achieve their goals!

Registered Massage Therapists

Michael Spangler is a Registered Massage Therapist that graduated from MacEwan University in 2007.  Massage has played an important role in his journey of healing and growth which has given him a strong passion for it.

He believes massage has much more potential to restore function than is currently realized.  Michael has a unique approach that involves assessing and ‘listening’ to muscles in order to allow time for the muscle to release naturally.

He is experienced with many techniques such as: deep tissue, sports massage, myofascial therapy, and reiki.  He has a deep motivation to help others and listens to their needs to give them the most valuable experience possible.

Outside of work he enjoys running, gardening, watching movies, travelling, and spending time in nature.

She has been working in the healthcare industry for over 7 years and has gained a wealth of experience in helping people manage their pain. Samantha’s bubbly personality and hard work ethic have made her a favourite among her clients.

Samantha is a foodie who loves spending time with her three daughters, catching up on the latest tv shows, and hitting the gym as often as possible. Samantha is passionate about her work and takes great pride in helping her clients feel better. Her empathy for others has led her to become a successful Massage Therapist.

Born and raised Edmontonian, Elizabeth graduated from MacEwan’s 2200-hour Massage Therapy program in 2016 and has never stopped loving the career since. She enjoys the versatility the profession offers, from each therapist approaching treatments with their own angle, to each client presenting with their own needs and preferences. It’s never a cookie-cutter moment for her!

Elizabeth enjoys being outgoing and chatting with her clients to help develop that relationship and better tackle their treatment needs, but she also knows how to sink into a calm quiet and allow the massage to “speak for itself”. As much as she was known at her previous clinic as the “tough love” therapist for those who enjoy deep tissue pressure, Elizabeth delights in using relaxation massage to bring a sense of relief to her clients after a stressful day.

Appointments where she can give specific detailed focus to particular areas of pain are where she really shines. Don’t be afraid to book her for longer times, as she loves 90-minute and 2-hour massages! She hopes to take extra courses on TMJ treatment as well as pre/post-natal massage to help expand her practice.

When not at work, Elizabeth spends her time listening to music, going for bike rides, and playing tabletop games with her friends and family.
