Edmonton Physiotherapist Carolyn Wouters

Carolyn has been working as a physiotherapist for over 26 years. During that time, she has helped countless people recover from injuries and improve their overall health. Carolyn is known for her compassionate nature and her dedication to her patients

Carolyn was born and raised on a family farm outside of Brockville, Ontario. As one of eight siblings, they had many opportunities for outdoor play, sports, and hobbies. She moved to Medicine Hat at the age of twelve, where her love for sports continued. During college, she suffered from a significant ACL injury that led her to meeting with physiotherapy and orthopedic surgeons. Because of this experience, Carolyn moved to Edmonton on a scholarship after graduating from university (University of Alberta) and has decided to remain here ever since!

She has many hours of experience as an athlete, coach and team therapist. She has coached hockey from Initiation to PeeWee level, both for males and females. Carolyn also had the experience of refereeing volleyball games.

Carolyn is a mother with four children and they often go camping, fishing, and skiing together. When they aren’t busy with all that, her family sometimes walk Gimli at Buena Vista Dog Park.

Her passion and commitment is to assess and treat patients. Success comes from teamwork by both the patient and therapist working together, helping the patient achieve their goals!
